How to Play - Maze Memory Master

Objective

At the start of each level, you briefly see a bird's-eye view of the entire 3D maze. When the countdown ends, the view switches to first person and you must find the exit from memory. Reach the goal to clear the level, unlock the next one, and record your time.

Round Flow

1. Memory Phase (Memory Time) The camera shows the full maze from above with a countdown at the top. You cannot move during this phase — memorize the paths and the start/end positions.

2. Exploration Phase When time runs out, the camera drops to first person at the start. Use the virtual joystick (bottom-left) to explore and reach the red goal area.

3. Results Your completion time is shown. A new record is highlighted if you beat your best. Continue to the next level or return to the main menu.

Memory Phase Tips

The top of the screen shows "Memory Time" and the remaining seconds
In the overhead view, green marks the start and red marks the goal
Memory duration increases with difficulty: at least 10 seconds from Level 1, +1 second every 20 levels
The virtual joystick is hidden during this phase

Controls

Virtual Joystick (bottom-left)

Up: move forward in the current facing direction (half-cell steps)
Down: move backward one step
Left / Right: turn in small steps; hold to adjust facing continuously
Hold the joystick to repeat movement or turning. Hitting a wall triggers haptic feedback (can be disabled in Settings)

On-Screen Buttons

Back: return to the main menu and abandon the current run
Reset to Start: return to the level start and reset your position
Compass (top-right): white triangle = facing direction; red needle = direction to the goal

Levels & Difficulty

Clearing a level unlocks the next one — no maximum level cap
Maze size grows by 1 cell every 20 levels, from about 8×8 up to 22×22
Each level number produces the same maze layout (seed-based), so you can replay and practice
From the main menu you can replay cleared levels or challenge your latest unlocked level

Haptics: vibration when hitting a wall
Music: background music during gameplay
Music Volume: adjust music volume
Best Times: view your best time for each level
Reset Progress: clear unlocked levels and all best times

Tips

During the memory phase, focus on major junctions from the start, then the general direction of the goal
If you get lost, check the compass in the top-right for the goal direction
Hitting a wall is normal — adjust your direction and keep exploring
Replay cleared levels to improve your best time records
